Our roots

Gryphon Tech Advisors traces its roots to a predecessor company founded in 1979 as a typewriter repair shop. Over time, that service business evolved alongside workplace technology—from office equipment and computers to networks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and managed services.
The current business operates as Gryphon Tech Advisors, LLC, d.b.a. Gryphon Tech Advisors, headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota.
One stronger organization
Impact Technology Group and Griffin Cybersecurity became Gryphon Tech Advisors.
Impact Technology Group and Griffin Cybersecurity were both owned and operated by Brock Griffin through Griffin Family Companies. Rather than continue operating as separate organizations, the companies were brought together under one name and one operating model: Gryphon Tech Advisors.
The combination creates tighter operational control, better coordination between service delivery and cybersecurity, and a stronger security-first managed services organization. Clients now have one accountable partner for technology strategy, cybersecurity, compliance, and day-to-day IT operations.
